Unit Set Changer
When you start Unit Set Changer, a prompt will appear asking whether you want to set the unit system of the active file to Imperial or Metric.
Selecting Imperial sets the document's units to the default Revit Imperial system.
Selecting Metric applies the most commonly used Metric unit definitions to the document settings.
View Dependents
View Dependents prints the view names of view-dependent components (such as tags or dimensions) associated with the selected element.
This tool helps you determine if elements you plan to move, delete, or modify have already been tagged or are referenced in dimensions across the project.
Using View Dependents:
- Select the elements you suspect may have dependencies.
- Start View Dependents.
A console will open, displaying:
- ElementIds of the selected elements.
- ElementIds of the dependent elements related to the selected ones.
- The names of the views where these dependent elements can be found.
The information will be displayed in this specific order.
Slipped Duct Taps
Slipped Duct Taps identifies and lists duct tap elements that are misaligned or positioned away from the duct boundaries, helping to detect potential installation issues.
The tool scans the entire project and reports any issues, printing the ElementId and Level Name of the found tap elements to the console.
Align Gauge
If you notice that a Duct, Pipe, Cable Tray, Conduit, or accessory element behaves unexpectedly during design or review, there’s a high possibility that the element is sloped, tilted, leaning, rotated, or a combination of these.
Align Gauge helps you identify what's wrong with the element.
Using Align Gauge:
- Select the elements you suspect may have issues.
- Start Align Gauge.
- It will report the ElementId of the affected elements and describe the issues found.
- Align Gauge will also automatically select the elements with issues.
Connect Nearest
Connect Nearest connects the nearest open connectors of the selected elements.
Using Connect Nearest:
- Select the elements you want to connect.
- Start Connect Nearest.
- The tool works within a 15 mm tolerance. If the connectors are more than 15 mm apart, they will be ignored.
- If only one of the elements is a system family (such as a pipe, duct, etc.), the system family will be moved towards the other connector, and a fitting will be created if needed.
- If both elements are families, they will still connect. However, you need to nudge the element you want to keep in position (by using the Right Arrow and Left Arrow one after another , or Up Arrow and Down Arrow one after another) to automatically move the other family instance into the correct position. You can nudge multiple elements at once.
Transition Connect
Transition Connect creates a transition fitting instance between two ducts.
Using Transition Connect:
- Start Transition Connect, and it will first ask you to select a duct with at least one open connection. Ensure that you click near the connection where you want the transition to be created.
- Next, select another duct or any element with an open duct connection. Again, click near the connection where you want the transition to be created.
Toggle Insulation
Toggle Insulation allows you to toggle the visibility of duct and pipe insulation categories on and off.
Tee Fixer
Tee Fixer adjusts the connection sizes of duct Tee fittings to match the dimensions of the connected ducts, ensuring a seamless and accurate fit.
Select your Tee fitting instances you want to fix and start the tool.

Steps to use Sub Components:
- Start Sub Components.
- The tool will prompt you to select elements.
- After selecting the elements, the tool will automatically select all the sub-components within the selected family instances.
